Welcome to Gordon Cree Furniture Restorer
Based in Wiltshire I will endeavour to repair and refurbish all furniture you own in order to restore the beloved craftsmanship that was originally bestowed upon it.
All types of furniture, from antique to modern, repaired or restored at a reasonable price allowing you the satisfaction of owning a treasured item that is almost brand new once more.
I spend all my time dedicated to traditional hand finishing, French polishing, with damaged finishes repaired or replaced.
I offer Cleaning and re-waxing. Oil finishes can be made to shine once more.
If you so wish then modern finishes can be applied to add a little functionality to your furniture.
I carry out a number of services including:
--Veneers repaired, restored or replaced
--Inlays repaired, refitted or replaced
--Upholstery, springs, webbing repaired or replaced
-- Filling made good / replaced chair recovered or reseated with cane, sea grass or Danish cord
--Castors repaired or replaced
--Bespoke, occasional or fitted furniture designed or made to order
--Traditional methods used where possible
